Lions Park will be designed to be a teen park.

Lions park will become the crown jewel of X-game parks by having a Purkiss Rose designed skatepad. This style of skatepad will draw many skaters from neighboring towns. The sale the old surfs-up property will be contingent on the buyer erecting a wave action pool of the same type at Lions park for teen use only. Transportation to this park would be via the bus stops at Huron, Columbus, and Central Parks. To deter crime, vandalism, and unruly youths. A new multipurpose facility would be erected here to house a new police substation, border patrol, costal services, and the ODNR.This facilities will provide public restrooms as well as a concession stand.

By locating this park here it accomplishes a few things:

• It will help keep youths from loitering around the downtown area and potentially help keep them from bothering downtown business patrons as this age demographic are not typically cursed with funds to purchase products.
• A better skate park and teen only swimming facility will help serve the entertainment needs of teens and separates them from age groups where their behavior could cause conflict.
• A new facility would give Sandusky Police a new Marine Substation as well a ODNR and Costal services and moves these non-revenue producing entities off desirable and developable waterfront property.
• With an Adult Pool in Central Park, A Kids pool in Huron Park, and a teen pool in Lions Park the city will be well served during the warmer months.
