What is SPEEDI?

SPEEDI is a group of people who want to see a real change for the betterment of Sandusky. SPEEDI seeks to provide new solutions to old problems and promotes the potential that Sandusky has to offer.

SPEEDI believes Sandusky can once again become prosperous it merely lacks a cohesive vision and a set of goals.

SPEEDI believes not having a vision is a real problem because without a vision you cannot plan on how to get where you want to go because you do not know where it is you want to be.

SPEEDI has developed a vision and hopes it is one you share in envisioning the future growth potential of Sandusky.

SPEEDI as the Acronym implies intends to very quickly change both the environmental and economic landscapes of the city by this grass roots strategy to develop the entire town.

SPEEDI's strategy involves reducing the cost of government through various strategies, PPP's (Public Private Partnerships), and helping to reduce the cost of living for all Sanduskians.

SPEEDI feels by accomplishing these goals that Economic Development will be attracted to this area as business eyes a greater potential for profit in this area.

The first phase of this plan involves erecting a large event center and entertainment facility on Central Park capable of drawing top name acts and recording artists.

This facility would be heated and cooled by a small scale pilot geothermal utility that if successful could be expanded (public willing) to the rest of the city giving Sanduskians and businesses huge savings on their heating and cooling bills.

Increased traffic into Sandusky, lower heating and cooling costs, tax abatements, and cheap real estate we feel will help to kick start the revitalization of Sandusky.
