There are four resolutions that we are asking members and supporters to urge the Sandusky City commission to adopt so that will enable us to make contacts, gather data, make surveys, and cement business plans. This lets private businesses know the city is serious about accepting a proposal if we come through with a viable business plan. Without the resolutions many businesses will be reluctant to help develop such a time intensive plan.
Resolution 1
We do herby formally request a resolution from the Sandusky City Commission; to either support or not support, with no obligation to the city, the investigation into a Public Private Partnership with Cameo Pizza and other possible investors to rehabilitate Central Park. Specifically this rehabilitation investigation would pertain to the feasibility of operating a Multipurpose Municipal Event Center and Entertainment Venue for the expressed purpose of economic stimulation to the community and to Cameo Pizza and other possible investors.
A resolution in support of investigation will allow interested parties to research and form a comprehensive business plan by gathering data with the full cooperation of the city in determining the feasibility of such a project and to request quotes for work to be done on publicly leased land. The Co-operation of the street department, engineering department, economic development department, Parks Department, and zoning board will be invaluable in bringing such a project to fruition.
Resolution 2
We do herby formally request a resolution from the Sandusky City Commission; to either support or not support, with no obligation to the city, the investigation into a Public Private Partnership with a Publicly formed Co-operative for the use of land under Shoreline, Huron, Columbus, Lions, and Central Parks for the express use of providing a high efficiency low cost residential and commercial heating and Air Conditioning Geothermal Utility to the city of Sandusky.
A resolution in support of investigation will allow interested parties to gather data and perform test on city land with the full cooperation of the City’s Engineering Department, Streets Department, Parks Department, Economic Development Department, and Zoning Board. This support will allow a public cooperative to preliminarily determine the feasibility of such a project and build a cohesive strategic business plan to attract possible investors and aid in the city’s economic development effort. Such a Co-operative would be charged with greatly enhancing, maintaining, and financing the public parks with the revenues that such a utility would provide.
Resolution 3
We do herby formally request a resolution from the Sandusky City Commission; to either support or not support, with no obligation to the city, the investigation into a Public Private Partnership with a Bio Gas (Anaerobic Digestion) Utility that would utilize the cities raw sewage as a feed stock in producing Natural Gas and Agricultural Fertilizer through anaerobic digestion. Such a utility would provide low cost Natural Gas to local businesses and possibly local residents by way of an interconnect agreement.
This resolution will allow interested parties to gather data and perform test to determine the feasibility of such a project will full cooperation of the cities sewage treatment plant, engineering department, zoning board, and streets department.
Resolution 4
We do herby formally request a resolution from the Sandusky City Commission; to either support or not support, with no obligation to the city, the investigation into economic development in the form of attracting businesses such as; but not limited to, Fuel Distilleries, Spirit Distilleries, Breweries, Bottled water distillery and purification plants, and pasteurizing dairies or any other business that may gain a competitive marketable edge through the beneficial use of a geothermal utility, Anaerobic Digester, and locally abundant natural resources such as water and agricultural products
A resolution of support will show the cities sincere interest in formulating a comprehensive strategy to attract such companies and allow interested parties to contact and market to potential by showing them the future possible benefits that Sandusky could offer to such companies profitability.
